John L. Byler

John L. Byler, 55 years old, of Middlefield Twp, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon, May 16th, 2025 at his home. He was born in Warren, Ohio on June 18th, 1969 to Levi D. and Minnie (Fisher) Byler. John later married his best friend and love of his life, Ella N. Miller, on November 21st, 2002. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  

He will be missed by: his loving wife of 22 years, Ella; his mother, Minnie Byler; children, Martha (Nelson) Slabaugh, Alma (Marlin Yoder) Byler, Johnnie Byler, Joseph Byler; in-laws, Neil and Mattie (Hershberger) Miller; 7 brothers; 2 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

John is preceded in death by: his father, Levi Byler; 3 stillborn sons; and 1 sister.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, MONDAY, MAY 19TH, 2025 AT 16910 TAVERN RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Minister Melvin Yoder officiating. Pallbearers will be Allen Miller, Marvin Schmucker, Marvin Hershberger, and Marty Schmucker. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. John’s final resting place will be in Yoder Cemetery, Parkman, Ohio.
