John C. Bordonaro, 82, of Chardon, OH, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, April 11th, 2026, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Cleveland, OH on April 24th, 1943, to the late Charles and Mary Ann (Artino) Bordonaro. In 1964 John met the absolute love of his life Diane Ponyik and married her on May 13th, 1967.
He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He worked tirelessly his entire life ending his working days owning John’s Catering delivering breakfast and lunch to companies in Mentor, OH made by his wife Diane. His greatest pleasure was time with his family, cooking, eating, talking and laughing. He loved to camp, watch westerns and reminisce.
John will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Diane; children, Annette (Phil) Smith, Tom Bordonaro, Mike (Courtney) Bordonaro; grandchildren, Wes, Sophia, Alexa, Brielle; and many family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and beloved brother, Charles Bordonaro.
