Joe R. Eicher

Joe R. Eicher, 67, of Middlefield Twp, passed away peacefully Friday evening, January 7th, 2022 at UH-Geauga Medical Center in Claridon. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on May 20th, 1954 to the late Menno N. and Rebecca (Hilty) Eicher. Joe later married Ida Eicher on November 11th, 1973. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

He will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 48 years, Ida; children, Viola (Dennis) Schlabach, Kathryn (Joe) Detweiler, Rebecca (Uria) Schlabach, Verena Eicher, Joseph (Polly Anna) Eicher, Ida Mae (Leroy) Yoder, Joann (Allen) Hochstetler, Mary Lou (Aden) Schlabach, Menno (Laura) Eicher, William (Elizabeth) Eicher, Savannah Eicher; 45 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 9 brothers; 6 sisters; and many nieces, nephews; cousins; and friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., MONDAY, JANUARY 10TH, 2022 AT 16262 NAUVOO RD., MIDDLEFIELD with Bishop Aaron Yoder officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Miller, Freeman Slaubaugh, Jonas Miller, Marvin Wengerd, Robert Byler, and Andrew Byler. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service. Joe's final resting place will be in Miller Cemetery, Huntsburg, OH.
