Joe A. Byler, 78 years old, of Middlefield, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, December 9th, 2025 at his home while surrounded by his family. He was born in Middlefield, Ohio on March 23rd, 1947 to the late Andy E. and Sarah (Byler) Byler. Joe later the love of his life and best friend, Barbara O. Mullet on March 2nd, 1967. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He will be missed by: his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara; children, David (Martha) Byler, Andy (Esther) Byler, Joe Byler Jr., Betty (Martin) Miller, Robert (Ruth) Byler, Kathy (Adam) Gingerich, Marvin (MaryAnne) Byler; 54 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12TH, 2025 AT 12653 CLAY ST., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop Crist S. Yoder officiating. Pallbearers will be Marty Byler, Sam A. Kauffman, Bill C. Yoder, and Marvin C. Yoder. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the services. Joe’s final resting place will be in Miller Cemetery, Huntsburg, Ohio.
