Joan (Schuck) Beagle, 94, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, in Concord Township, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Beagle, Jr.
Joan was born on April 16, 1931, in Buffalo, New York. She was the daughter of the late Vincent G. Schuck and Lillian B. Baumgartner. As the oldest of three siblings, Joan is
survived by her sister, Geraldine (Schuck) Bremer, and was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald V. Schuck.
Joan married her high school sweetheart, William G. Beagle, Jr., and they built their home on a small farm in Bennington, New York, where they raised six children. They were married for 71 years. Joan was the mother of the late William G. Beagle III and the late Sean P. Beagle. She is survived by her daughters: Cindy Beagle of Ohio, Leslie (George) Calender of New York, Colleen (Leon Lewek) of Florida, and Shannon (William) Peterson of Michigan. Additionally, her daughter-in-law, Roxane Mower, resides in New York.
Joan is also survived by her granddaughters: Allison Calender, Brianna Beagle, and Katie Peterson, and her grandsons: Adam Calender, Matthew Calender, and Jacob Peterson. She is fondly remembered by her dear cousins, Carol Ottaviani and Donna Hackford, and her long-time friend, Abbie Campbell.
Affectionately known as “Joanie,” she cherished family gatherings, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, loved singing, crocheting, and baking. Mom will always hold a warm place in our hearts.
