Jerry M. "Jake" Rose Sr.

Jerry M. “Jake” Rose Sr, 77, of Huntsburg, OH passed away peacefully at his home Saturday afternoon, February 22nd, 2025. He was born in Birch River, WV on April 2nd, 1947 to the late Mitchell and Aretta (Hoover) Rose. Jerry is once again reunited with his loving wife of 53 years, Loretta June (Stewart) Rose, who died August 21st, 2020.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran who proudly served in Vietnam. Jerry was a member of Middlefield VFW Post #9678. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a caring and loving father and grandfather.

Jerry will be greatly missed by: his sons, Jerry (Catherine) Rose II, Mike Rose; grandchildren, Clinton (Lauren) Rose, Jerry  (Emily Skytta) Rose III, Xander (Sammie Davis) Rose; great-granddaughter, Carmen Rose; brothers, Jim Rose, Mark (Tammy) Rose; sister, Pam (Robert) Springer; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  

He is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Loretta; and sister, Karen Rose.

Per Jerry’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at 1PM., Friday, February 28th, 2025 in Huntsburg Cemetery.
