Jeanette Turk, 69, of Garrettsville, Ohio passed away on August 29, 2026 following a long illness. She was born on February 11, 1957 to Roman and Mary Yoder and was one of nine children. Jennette dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She spent many years working as a home health aide where her compassionate nature and genuine concern for others touched the lives of many people and their families.
Jeanette will be remembered for her caring heart, her devotion for her family and the countless ways she put the needs of others before her own. She gave so much of herself throughout her life both through her work caring for others and through the love and care she gave to her family. She will be deeply missed by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, siblings, friends and all those fortunate enough to have known her. Her memory will live on in the family she cherished and in the many lives she touched with her kindness and compassion.
Jeanette’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Turk, and her three daughters: Amy (Garrett) Poole, Michelle (Timothy) Dunn and Alison (Bradley) Rodier. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Aiden, Asher, Henry, Amelia, Spencer and Marlowe. She is also survived by her twin sister Annette (Jim) Pavlic and siblings Sally Brechbill, Mim (Dan) Itschner, John Yoder, Mary Jane (Paul) Risko, Tim (Kara) Yoder and Susan McCreary as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Larry “Skip” Yoder as well as her brothers-in-law Jim Brechbill and Sam McCreary, her nephews James Pavlic, Joshua Yoder and Tyler Yoder and niece Angela Miller.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 12 PM, WEDENSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND, 2026 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Jeanette’s final resting place will be in Harrington Cemetery, Nelson Twp, OH.
