Jean Carrol (Johnson) Clifford

Jean Carrol Clifford (nee Johnson), 95, of Troy Twp, OH, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, June 6th, 2026, at UH-Geauga Medical Center. She was born in Cleveland, OH on March 13th, 1931, to the late Ralph and Grace Marie (McIntyre) Johnson. Jean is once again reunited with her loving husband, Doyle E. Clifford, who died October 5th, 2002.   

She was an artistic person. Jean enjoyed ceramics, sewing, quilting, baking, and cake decorating. She loved spending time with her enire family, especially when it involved fishing trips to Canada. Jean adored being a grandmother and cherished each and every grandchild as they meant the world to her. She was the best mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend that anyone could have.

Jean will be greatly missed by: her children, Doyle (Susan) Clifford Jr., Bruce (Jackie) Clifford, Sharon Simms, April Bays, Joyce (James) Brown-Seibert; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband Doyle Sr.; 3 grandchildren; son-in-laws, William Simms, Curtis Bays, and Jerry Brown; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 12 PM, FRIDAY, JUNE 12TH, 2026 AT CHURCH AT TROY, 18712 MUMFORD RD., GARRETTSVILLE, OH 44231 with Pastor Stephen Beatty  officiating. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 11AM until the time of the service. Jean’s final resting place will be in Mumford Road Cemetery, Troy Twp, Ohio.
