Janet L. (Goglin) Glowacki

Janet L. Glowacki (nee Goglin), 81, of Gates Mills, OH, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, September 11th, 2024 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby, OH. She was born in Cleveland, OH on December 5th, 1942 to the late Alfred and Frances (Mills) Goglin. Janet is once again reunited with her loving husband, John J. Glowacki, who died November 9th, 2021.

After her faith in God, Janet’s kids were first in her life. There was never a dull moment. For all that knew Janet, her home was always open to anyone that needed a place, a meal, or a conversation. She had the biggest heart for animals and all her dogs and cats. She had the best times playing video poker and all the people she made friends with over the years. She was a machinist, a waitress, and even went back to school to be a security guard for the high school games. All the kids and grandkids enjoyed camping everywhere and anywhere. Not sure if we should mention the avid lottery player over the last 50 years, but she loved it. If you spent anytime with her, she left lasting memories.

Janet was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed by: her children, Wendy (Timothy) Hambor, Matt (Terri) Meagher, Laurie (Robert Stakes) Meagher, Robert (Marcie) Meagher; grandchildren, Becky (Jason) McBride, Jennifer Hambor, Timmy Hambor, Devon (Nicole) Marotta, Michael Marotta, David Marotta, Matt Meagher, Angelina Meagher, Marc Meagher, Brian (Luisa) Evans, Aaron (Elizabeth) Evans, James Meagher, Justin Meagher; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rich (Chris) Goglin, Jeff (Candy) Goglin; sister, Jean Smith; sister-in-law, Sandy Goglin; Special friend Tish Pierce and her family, Vikki Woodin, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Can’t forget here four legged babies, Prince, Stella, Pebbles, Shadow, Hodji, and Bear, not to mention all her grandpuppies and grandkitties.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; 1st husband, Matthew Meagher; 2nd husband, John Glowacki; son, John Meagher; grandson, Ron Szoke; brother, James Goglin; and brother-in-law, Emory Smith.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:30 A.M., SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH, 2024 AT ST. MARK’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 11900 CHILLICOTHE RD., CHESTERLAND, OH 44026 with Pastor Chris Ryan officiating. Family and friends will be received on Saturday at the church from 10:30 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Janet’s memory are requested to be made to the Euclid Animal Shelter, 25100 Lakeland Blvd., Euclid, Ohio
