Jake D. Miller, 73 years old, of Mesopotamia, Ohio passed away peacefully Sunday evening, November 17th, 2024 at home while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mesopotamia, Ohio on October 6th, 1951 to the late Dan A. and Elizabeth (Byler) Miller. Jake later married his best friend and love of his life, Elizabeth (Detweiler) Miller on September 21st, 1972. He was an Ordained Minister of the Mespo Northeast Old Order Amish Church District.
He will be dearly missed by: his loving wife of 52 years, Elizabeth; children, Allen (Susie) Miller, Lucy Ann Miller, Marvin (Viola) Miller, Chester (Malinda) Miller, Rudy (Fannie) Miller, Sally (Jonathan) Wengerd, Marty (Sara) Miller, Barbara (Urie) Miller, Amanda (Ervin) Miller; 60 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jake is preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandchild, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20TH, 2024 AT 9580 S.R. 534., MESOPOTAMIA, OH with Bishop Enos K. Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be
Norman Wengerd, Ervin Yoder, Joe Weaver, and David Miller. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service at 4169 Sweet Rd., Mesopotamia, OH. Jake’s final resting place will be in Wilcox Road Cemetery, Mesopotamia, Ohio.
