Jake A. Byler, 74, of Parkman, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, August 15th, 2023 at home with family by his side. He was born in Parkman on September 18th, 1948 to the late Andy E. and Sarah (Byler) Byler. Jake is once again reunited with his loving wife of 52 years, Ida H. (Yoder) Byler, who died October 20th, 2021. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and Bishop of the Parkman Southeast Church District.
He will be dearly missed by: his children, Kathryn (Andy) Miller, Jake (Rose Mary) Byler, Emma (John Jr.) Kuhns, Nancy (Robert) Miller, Sarah (Bob) Miller, Samuel (Edna) Byler, Crist (Cindy) Byler, Edna (Allen) Gingerich, Jonas (Laura) Byler, Betty (Melvin) Gingerich; 55 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jake is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Ida; son, Andy Byler; an infant daughter; and 1 great-grandchild.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, THURSDAY, AUGUST 17TH, 2023 AT 16390 FARLEY RD., MIDDLEFIELD with Bishop Jonathan D. Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be David Hostetler, John Byler, Robert Miller, and John Miller. Visitation will be anytime until the time of the service. Jakes’s final resting place will be in Yoder Cemetery, Parkman, OH.
