Jack W. Steele, 81, of Middlefield, OH, passed away peacefully on the evening of Wednesday, October 23, 2024, surrounded by family at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, OH. He was born on May 22, 1943, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Willard and Elizabeth (Koscelnik) Steele.
On January 11, 1964, Jack married his best friend and the love of his life, Bonnie (Edwards) Steele. Their 60 years of marriage were filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965. After his service, he began a long and successful career as a supervisor at Kennametal, Inc., where he worked for 39 years before retiring.
Jack was an avid sports fan who loved coaching his daughters' sports teams. He also enjoyed camping, golfing, and traveling with Bonnie. His dedication to helping others was evident in his volunteer work at the Middlefield First United Methodist Church Food Cupboard.
Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a loyal friend to everyone who knew him. His warmth, kindness, and generosity will be deeply missed by many.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie; his daughters, Laurie (Jon) Barnett and Julie (James) McGurer; grandchildren, Jordyn (Diego) Chacon-Reina, Joshua McGurer, Carley (Daniel Lamosek) Barnett, Cassidy Barnett; great-grandson, Oliver Chacon-Reina; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Elizabeth, and his brother, Bill Steele.
A GATERHING OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL BE HELD FROM 3:00PM TO 5:00PM, MONDAY, OCTOBER 28TH, 2024 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH.
