Ida Jean (Mast) Kauffman

Ida Jean Kauffman (nee Mast), 88 years old, of Orwell Twp, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday morning, September 3rd, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Rome Twp while surrounded by her family. She was born in Huntsburg, Ohio on April 9th, 1938, to the late Eli and Amanda (Yoder) Mast. Ida is once again reunited with her loving husband, Albert J. Kauffman who died January 8th, 2012. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  

She will be missed by: her children, Marie Ann (Bill) Yoder, Samuel Kauffman, David Lee (Laura) Kauffman, Albert Wayne (Alma) Kauffman, Laura Mae (Chester) Miller, Linda Sue (Albert) Miller; 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 1 sister; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ida is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Albert; 1 grandchild; 1 great-grandchild; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH, 2026 AT 10119 CREASER RD., ORWELL, OH with Bishop Melvin Ray Fisher officiating. Pallbearers will be David Miller, Michae Mast, Michael Troyer, and Sam Miller. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. Ida’s final resting place will be in Clover Hill Cemetery, North Bloomfield, Ohio.
