Ida J. (Slabaugh) Miller

Ida J. Miller (nee Slabaugh), 76, of Middlefield Twp, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, February 16th, 2019 at UH-Geauga Medical Center while surrounded by her family. She was born in Burton, OH on October 20th, 1942 to the late John J. and Verna (Gingerich) Slabaugh. Ida later married Jerry J. Miller on April 18th, 1967. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She will be missed by: her loving husband of just under 52 years, Jerry; children, Sylvia (John) Detweiler, Laura (Reuben) Detweiler, Ada (Danny) Miller, John Henry (Mary) Miller, Mahlon (Nancy) Miller, Emma (David) Miller, Cristy (Mary Ellen) Miller, Dena (Eli) Burkholder, David (Esther) Miller, Ida (Norman) Detweiler; 61 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ida is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, and 1 grandchild.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH, 2019 AT 17231 NAUVOO RD, MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop Rudy N. Detweiler officiating. Pallbearers will be Chester Miller, Mahlon Detweiler, Freeman Byler, and Daniel Miller. Ida’s final resting place will be in Nauvoo Road Cemetery, Middlefield Twp. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service.
