Howard W. Kligge Jr.

Howard W. Kligge Jr., 76, of Rock Creek, OH, passed away peacefully Friday night, August 4th, 2023 at Madison Healthcare while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 20th, 1947 to the late Howard W. and Dorothy Agness (Richardson) Kligge. Howard later married the love of his life and best friend, Mary Durham on February 12th, 1971.

He proudly served and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer after 22 years in the U.S. Navy. Following retirement from the Navy, Howard worked as the Director of Retired Pay Department at DFAS Cleveland.

Howard loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary; sons, Stephen M. (Elizabeth) Kligge, Aaron (Christy) Kligge; daughter-in-law, Nickcole Kligge; grandchildren, Cody, Logan, Merissa, Jenna, Jeramiah, Eva, Kayden, Zachary; great-grandson, John; brother, David Harry Kligge; and by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents, son, Alon Scott Kligge, and brother, Steven Kligge.  

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 3:00 PM, MONDAY, AUGUST 14TH, 2023 AT THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, 571 SEVEN HILLS RD., ASHTABULA, OH 44004. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Howard’s final resting place will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
