Gloria Jean (Wagner) Deck

Gloria J. Deck (nee Wagner), 50, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully Monday morning, June 8th, 2020 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born in Madison, OH on January 7th, 1970 to John T. and Valaska (Bower) Wagner. Gloria later married David Deck on July 17th, 1999.

She was an active member of St. Lucy’s Catholic Church in Middlefield where she taught P.S.R. to 2nd graders and First Communion classes. Gloria also loved doing puzzles, talking with friends on the phone and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a former Secretary at Spear Electric.

Gloria will be greatly missed by: her loving husband of 21 years, Dave; parents, John and Valaska “Val” Wagner; children, Michael E. Wagner, Douglas A. (fiancé Hannah White) Wagner, Steven H. (Kayla) Bucy, James D. Deck; step-daughter, Rachel M. (Dale Jr.) Markiewicz; grandchildren, Jayden Wagner, Jace Wagner, Shaundrea Wagner, Madison Wagner, Reagan Wagner, Theodora Wagner, Braylen Bucy, Amelia Bucy; brother, John “Jack” T. (Pauline) Wagner Jr; and many friends.

A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 A.M., FRIDAY, JUNE 12TH, AT ST. LUCY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 16280 KINSMAN RD, MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062. Friends and family will be received from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., Thursday, June 11th, 2020 at Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Rd., Middlefield, OH. A Prayer Service for the immediate family will take place Friday morning at the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. All others, please meet at the Church. Gloria's final resting place will be in Hiram Twp. Cemetery.
