Gertrude M. Bolander, 95 , of Burton Ohio, passed away peacefully early Friday evening, December 12th , 2025 at home. She was born in Burton, Ohio on December 24th, 1929 to the late Halbert Trask and Martha Hale/Trask/Rice.
Gertrude’s greatest joy in life was her family, a love made clear by abundance of family photos displayed proudly throughout her home. She found peace working in her garden and a unique zest for life and her own style-loving her fancy shoes, even if sometimes paired with socks and sandals! She was a loyal Cleveland Indians fan, never missed a game, and started every morning simply, with a bowl of corn flakes. A slice of coconut cake was her favorite indulgence plus her favorite drink was a can of Coca-Cola.
Gertrude will be deeply missed by: Daughter Linda Sutton (Chardon), Son Kevin Bolander (Burton), Grandchildren: Robin Krebs, Jim (Twinsburg), Karen Wolfe, Daren (Madison) David Sutton, Katie Weber (Mentor), Great Grandchildren: Kayla Krebs (Las Vegas), Zachary Wolfe, Aly (Madison), Tyler Wolfe, De’Anthony Curry, Her many nieces and nephews, and her biggest love, her cat Bing.
She is preceded in death by: Husband Harry Bolander Sr., Son Harry Bolander Jr. (Butch), Son in Law Brian Sutton, Grandchild Chadwick Sutton and Brothers and Sister.
A Graveside Service will be held at a later date
