Obituary

Gerald Otto Stettina, 88, of Burton, OH, passed away peacefully Friday night, April 7th, 2023 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born in Cleveland, OH on June 28th, 1934 to the late Otto Joseph and Eleanor Grace (Blaha) Stettina. Gerald married his the love of his life and best friend, Sandra Mintie on October 3rd, 1964.

He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who loved all sports, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes Football team. Gerald was former owner of the Ramble Inn in Newbury for 18 years. He sponsored many winning slow-pitch softball teams that played in local leagues.   

Gerald will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 58 years, Sandra Stettina; son, Mark (Judy) Stettina; estranged daughter, Melanie (Michael) Simons; grandchildren, Emily Stettina, Jessica Simons, Justin Simons; great-grandson, Rory Ode; sister, Carol (Doug) Fox; and many friends. 

He is preceded in death by: his parents and sister, Gloria Jackson. 

A MEMORIAL MASS WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 A.M., WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19TH, 2023, AT ST. HELEN’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 12060 KINSMAN RD., NEWBURY, OH with Father Jay McPhillips officiating.
