Frances M. “Fran” Misterka (nee Basler), 66, of Huntsburg, OH, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, March 8th, 2025 at home while surrounded by her family. She was born in Chardon, OH on October 18th, 1958 to the late Robert and Evelyn (Baxter) Basler. Fran later married her best friend and love of her life, Adam Misterka on January 12th, 1990.
She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, especially going to the beaches and parks with them. Fran also enjoyed just sitting with her husband watching tv together. She also had a heart for animals. Fran also liked gardening and tanning during the summer. Before her stroke, she even loved reading and crocheting. Fran was an overall fun-loving person. She loved her husband and kids very much.
Fran will be missed by: her loving husband of 35 years, Adam; children, Christina (Michael) Duncan, Shelly (Greg) Schneider, Lisa Roach, Mary Beth (Brian) Simcox, Robert Misterka; grandchildren, Hannah (Justin) Byler, Keith Schneider, Thomas (Michelle) Schneider, Rodger Roach, Miranda Roach, Amelia Bentley, Ethan Simcox; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Jayden, Caiden; sister, Sue (Richard) Bertleff; sister-in-law, Barb Basler; loving friends, Vicky Temple and Rian Curtis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; grandson, Nicholas Schneider; brothers, Robert Basler Jr., Charles, and wife Patty Basler, Larry Basler; and sister, Carol and husband, Dick Powers.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 7:00 PM, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12TH, 2025 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062 with Joyce Benesh officiating. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 PM until the time of the service.
