Ervin J. Byler

Ervin J. Byler, 78 years old, of Mesopotamia, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday night, August 28th, 2024 at home while surrounded by his family. He was born in Mercer, PA on March 11th, 1946 to the late Jonas A. and Sadie (Byler) Byler. Ervin later married his best friend and love of his life, Linda Miller on June 5th, 1969. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  

He will be dearly missed by: his loving wife of 55 years, Linda; children, Norman (Mary) Byler, Andrew (Amanda) Byler, Rebecca (John) Miller, Mary Ellen (Lester Jr.) Byler; 31 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Ervin is preceded in death by: his parents and 3 sisters. 

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, SATURDAY, AUGUST 31ST, 2024 AT 9775 N. GIRDLE RD, MESOPOTAMIA, OH with Minister Chester J. Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Paul D. Byler, David M. Troyer, Dan D. Troyer, and Norman R. Miller. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service at 9685 N. Girdle Rd., Mesopotamia, OH. Ervin’s final resting place will be in Wilcox Road Cemetery, Mesopotamia, Ohio.
