Emma M. Slaubaugh Obituary

Emma M. Slaubaugh (nee Miller), 85 years old, of Mesopotamia, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, May 21st, 2026, at home while surrounded by her family. She was born in Middlefield, Ohio on December 19th, 1940, to the late Melvin A. and Barbara J. (Shetler) Miller. Emma later married the love of her life and best friend, Emmanuel “Mike” Slaubaugh on June 23rd, 1960. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She will be greatly missed by: her loving husband of 65 years, Emanuel; children, Laura (Uria) Byler, Naomi Slaubaugh, Bertha (Joseph Jr.) Miller, Raymond (Mary Ellen) Slaubaugh, Michael (MaryLou) Slaubaugh, Benjamin (Sarah) Slaubaugh, Freeman (Linda) Slaubaugh, Katie (William Henry) Gingerich, Allen (Susan Carol) Slaubaugh, Lucinda (Crist) Hershberger, Martin (Mary Ann) Slaubaugh, Judith Slaubaugh; 63 grandchildren; 111 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; 1 sister-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Emma is preceded in death by: her parents; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, SUNDAY, MAY 24TH, 2026 AT 5307 KINSMAN RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop Jonas Yutzy officiating. Pallbearers will be Andrew Miller, Ben Miller, Joe Miller, and Melvin Troyer. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. Emma’s final resting place will be in Wilcox Road Cemetery, Mesopotamia, Ohio.
