Emma (Fisher) Hostetler

Emma Hostetler (nee Fisher), 93, of Middlefield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at UH-Geauga Medical Center, Friday morning, April 30th, 2021 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Middlefield, Ohio on March 31st, 1928 to the late Dan and Kathryn (Farmwald) Fisher. Emma is once again reunited with her loving husband, Andrew Hostetler, who died in 1995.

Emma enjoyed being a Cleveland sports fan, especially the Indians. She liked reading, working on crossword and other puzzles. Emma also used to like crocheting and made a blanket for each of her grandchildren. Her greatest enjoyment was always spending time with her family.

She will be greatly missed by: her children, Walt (Tally) Hostetler, Allan (Mary Ann) Hostetler, Marty (Lin) Hostetler, Marcia (Woody) Landis, David (Debbie) Hostetler, Trish McConnell; grandchildren, Tyler (Rebecca) Hostetler, Jeremy Hostetler, Matthew (Jennifer) Hostetler, Bryan (Maria Lizardi) Hostetler, Erika Hostetler, Anna Herranz, Adam (Jordan Vallance) Burch, Chris Landis, Jerome (Crysti) Landis, Dennis (Debbie) Boyd, Jodie (Norm Darling) Boyd, Katie Hostetler, Jared (Stacy) Hostetler, Leah (Kyle) Evanchuck, Ashley McConnell; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Daniel (Martha) Fisher, Alan (Sarah) Fisher; sister, Sarah (Andy) Burkholder; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Emma is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Andrew; granddaughter, Tracey Hall; great-granddaughter, Amber Conley; brothers, John Fisher, Eli Fisher, Andy Fisher, Sam Fisher;  and sisters, Fannie Moore and Lydiann Gingerich.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 A.M., TUESDAY, MAY 4TH, 2021 AT NEW MERCIES COMMUNITY CHURCH, 12767 BUTTERNUT RD., BURTON, OH with Pastor Roy Williams officiating. Family and friends will be received at the Church from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., Monday, May 3rd, 2021. Emma’s final resting place will be in Claridon Center Cemetery, Claridon Twp, Ohio.
