Elmina E. Kurtz (nee Miller), 90, of Parkman, passed away peacefully at her home Friday evening, May 8th, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born in Burton, OH on September 14th, 1929 to the late Eli N. and Susie (Yoder) Miller. Elmina is once again reunited with her loving husband of 65 years, Gideon J. Kurtz, who died October 2nd, 2015. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She will be greatly missed by: her children, Esther (Sam) Miller, Daniel (Lydiann Shrock) Kurtz, Mary (Jake) Byler, Bill (Linda Miller) Kurtz, Eli Ray (Laura Detweiler) Kurtz, Robert (Rosanna Detweiler) Kurtz, Gideon (Sadie Schmucker) Kurtz Jr., Delbert (Rosanna Slabaugh) Kurtz, daughter-in-law, Sara (Gingerich) Kurtz; 59 grandchildren; 141 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Elmina is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gideon; son, John Henry Kurtz; and 6 great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., MONDAY, MAY 11TH, 2020 AT 17574 NEWCOMB RD., PARKMAN, OH with Minister Andy Schmucker officiating. Pallbearers will be David Schmucker, Allen Yoder, Robert Hershberger, and Chester Hershberger. Visitation will be anytime until the time of the service. Elmina's final resting place will be in Yoder Cemetery, Parkman, OH. In lieu of attending, please feel free to send a card to the family at the visitation address above.
