Elizabeth J. Miller (nee Kempf), 96 years old, of Mesopotamia, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 17th, 2025 at home while surrounded by her family. She was born in Middlefield, Ohio on January 4th, 1929 to the late John Henry and Malinda D. (Swartzentruber) Kempf. Elizabeth is once again reunited with her loving husband, Levi E. Miller, who died May 13th, 2012. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She will be missed by: her children, Malinda Byler, Katie (Eli ) Troyer, Saloma (Melvin ) Hershberger, Eli (Susan) Miller, Enos (Sarah) Miller, Daniel (Linda) Miller, Elizabeth (John) Slabaugh, Clara Miller, John (Barbara) Miller, Barbara (Freeman) Miller, Ida (John) Fisher, Christina (Mervin) Miller, Levi Miller Jr.; 80 grandchildren; 238 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 1 brother; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Levi; 1 grandchild; 9 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Daniel Byler; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 AM, THURSDAY, JUNE 19TH, 2025 AT 5474 CLARK RD., MESOPOTAMIA, OH with Bishop John Kurtz officiating. Pallbearers will be Dan Fisher, Jacob Byler, Paul Bontrager, and James Yoder. Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service. Elizabeth’s final resting place will be in Clark Road Cemetery, Mesopotamia, Ohio.
