Duretta Murcel (Holsopple) Novak

Duretta Murcel Novak (nee Holsopple), 84, of Celebration, FL, passed away peacefully Monday evening, July 25th, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Mantua Twp, OH. She was born in Bedford, OH on March 27th, 1938 to the late Sterling Ted and Verda (Ellis) Holsopple. Duretta is once again reunited with her loving husband, Julius Novak, who died February 28th, 2006.

She loved to travel on a moment's notice from Celebration FL, Robbins TN,  Port Clinton OH, and to her children's homes. Duretta was often teased that she lived in her car since she always had a suitcase full of clothes and shoes in the trunk of her car. She never turned down an invitation to go on a trip with friends. Duretta also loved hosting friends at either of her homes.

Duretta will be greatly missed by: her children, Lisa (Sergei Borsukow) Novak, Beth (Brian) Adkins, Jason (Pam) Novak; grandchildren, Alexis Borsukow, Cody Adkins, Brittany Adkins; special niece, Patty (Jerry) Mason; brother, Sterling Dale (Jackie) Holsopple; sister-in-law, Shirley Holsopple; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Julius; and brother, Charles Furel Holsopple.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD from 2:00-5:00 P.M., Sunday, July 31st, 2022 at Mario's International Spa and Restaurant in the Boulder Room, 35 E. Aurora Rd. Aurora OH 44202.
