Duchess Giardina

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Her Grace, the Duchess of Georgia Road and Goodwin Street. Duchess passed way on Friday, November 21, 2025, with her humans by her side. She was fifteen years old.

Duchess was born on March 19, 2010. She was staying at the Portage County Animal Protective League and chose her new forever home on July 23, 2013. Duchess was the very essence of nobility; she was kind, graceful and loving to all, human and animal alike. In her younger years, she enjoyed herding cows and horses, and loved to chase puppies around until the puppy ran out of energy. Her other hobbies included playing in the snow and barking at vacuum cleaners.

She is survived by her humans, Matt and Jessica Giardina, her doggie brother Boone, kitty sister Hazel, and kitty brothers Carmel and Vanilla. She was preceeded in death by her kitty sisters, Magenta and Kitty Kitty.

In lieu of flowers and doggie treats, donations may be made in her memory to the Portage County Animal Protective League, 8122 Infirmary Rd, Ravenna, OH 44266.
