Dorothy T. Byler (nee Troyer), 91, of Middlefield, OH, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, September 24th, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Sugar Creek, OH on February 19th, 1928 to the late Andy D. and Ada J. (Miller) Troyer. After 50 years of being widowed, Dorothy is once again reunited with her loving husband, Reuben, who died May 17th, 1969. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She will be missed by: her loving children, Ada Mae (Dan L.) Troyer, Fannie (Ervin E.) Miller, Ervin R. (Martha Mae) Byler, Mervin R. (Betty) Byler, Dan R.T. (Katie) Byler, Nevin R. (Emma) Byler, Nettie (Enos D.) Miller, Dorothy (Robert H.) Miller, Reuben T. (Mary) Byler, Rosemary (Crist J.) Weaver; 66 grandchildren; 313 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; 45 great-great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother; 3 sisters; 2 sister-in-laws; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by: her parents; husband of 23 years, Reuben; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH, 2019 AT 17192 BURTON WINDSOR RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062 with Bishop Dan J. Byler officiating. Pallbearers will be Dan W. Miller, Urie J. Byler, Freeman C. Miller, and Norman A. Detweiler. Visitation will be anytime until the time of the service. Dorothy’s final resting place will be in Miller Cemetery in Huntsburg, OH.
