Diana P. McGurer Obituary

Diana P. (Queen) McGurer, 72, of Garrettsville, OH entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 surrounded by her children. Diana was born in Clarksburg, WV on October 30, 1951 to James and Rosetta Queen. She later married her soulmate and the love of her life, Harvey McGurer on March 26, 1970.

Diana was an active member of the Faith Evangelical Free Church in Garrettsville. She was a faithful woman who loved her Lord, family, church and friends.

Diana loved bible study, prayer meeting, Patsy Cline, old country music, crocheting, reading, cooking and baking. Handmade blankets, pots of chili and Buckeyes at Christmastime were some of her specialties.

Diana was a strong woman with a kind, loving soul and beautiful smile. She was a constant cheerleader and supporter to those she loved. She treasured her family and was happiest when she was in their presence. She would say her favorite roles were always wife, mom and Nana. She did not end a conversation without her favorite phrase, “I love you more”.

Diana will be deeply missed by her son, John McGurer (Jaclyn Laubert) of Aurora; daughters, Kimberly (James) Martin of Ashland and April (Christopher) White of Aurora; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Shawn) Mustain, Samantha Loyd, Jordan McGurer and Carter White; brother, Gary Queen; sister, Sandra Laughlin; brother-in-law, Christopher (Jocelyn) McGurer, sisters-in-law, Claudia Cassidy and Cynthia Young, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Diana is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Harvey D. McGurer, parents James and Rosetta (Jenkins) Queen and brother, James Queen.
