Dennis Frank Sedivy Sr., 83, of Newbury, OH, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, May 30th, 2020 at the Maple View County Villa in Chardon, OH. He was born in Cleveland on February 26th, 1937 to the late Frank and Mollie (Dezort) Sedivy. Dennis later married Rose Medvec on February 2nd, 1965.
He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Dennis also led a lifelong career as a foreman at Roto-Hoe in Newbury, Ohio. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time working on his land. Dennis’ greatest love though was spending time with his large family and was a devoted father and grandfather.
Dennis will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 55 years, Rose; children, Dennis Sedivy Jr., Diane DeSantis, Doreen (Dave) Hull, Debra Sedivy, Danette Sedivy; grandchildren, Lauren and Jacob Sedivy, Summer and Brittany DeSantis, Desirea and Dylan Hull; great grandchildren, Wyatte DeSantis, Ethan and Logan Kazdin; brothers, Richard (Linda) Sedivy, Terry (Maria) Sedivy; sister, Sharon (Bob) Dewey; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; son-in-law, Steven DeSantis; and sister, Barbara J. Janek.
