Dennis A. Yukie

Dennis Allan Yukie passed away on May 7^th at the age of 49 after an illness.​​

Dennis was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1973 to Gregory and Audrey (Dewhirst). Dennis grew up in Akron, Ohio, having a tumultuous childhood. Dennis attended Ellet High School, where he began to nurture his love of comic books and art.

Afterward, he went on to study Art at Kent State University. As life does not ever go to plan, Dennis never had a chance to practice his art. Instead, he became a caretaker to dogs and cats and a constant companion to his mother, Audrey (whom he adored), and his brother Timothy.

Dennis was a gentle and friendly soul. He was also a protector. Timeless times he had to rescue his younger brother, Kevin, from school bullies on the playground. Dennis was a big man with a big heart.

He made friends easily, and as time went on, the friendships that he made during his childhood were always precious to him. Joshua Gramse and Scott Newcome were good friends whom Dennis always spoke fondly.

Dennis's first job was at Mcdonald's, where he collected more friends, such as John Davis, and let his younger brother, Kevin, tag along with some memorable misadventures. Dennis could be sarcastic with a dry wit. He loved his mom and brothers. And he will be terribly missed.

Dennis is survived by his brothers, Kevin (Charlese) and Timothy; his mother, Audrey Dewhirst; his Aunt Christine; his cousins, Chris, Marc, and Mikey Whetsel; and his friend Andy.

Dennis is predeceased by grandparents Thomas and Flora Dewhirst, and his cousin Joey.

There are no services planned. Dennis’s ashes will be closely guarded in a secret location.
