Dena S. (Slabaugh) Detweiler

Dena S. Detweiler (nee Slabaugh), 73, of Troy Twp., passed away peacefully Friday evening, October 30th, 2020 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chardon, OH on March 11th, 1947 to the late John J. and Verna U. (Gingerich) Slabaugh. Dena later married William E. Detweiler Jr. on July 31st, 1969. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She will be missed by: her loving husband of 51 years, William; son, Jacob (Emma) Detweiler; daughter, Susan (Elmer) Byler; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dena is preceded in death by: her parents; step-mother, Mary Slabaugh; and 1 sister.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND, 2020 AT 14724 NASH RD., BURTON, OH with Bishop Reuben E. Byler officiating. Pallbearers will be John Shrock, Roy Miller, Marvin Shrock, and Bill Schmucker. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service. Dena's final resting place will be in Mumford Road Amish Cemetery, Troy Twp, OH.
