Dan H. Weaver Obituary

Dan H. Weaver, age 91, of Chesterland, Ohio and Terrell, Texas went to be with the Lord peacefully Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Mesquite, TX, with family at his side. He was born on December 22nd, 1933 at his parent’s home in Parkman, Ohio, the son of Harry S. and Mary Ann (Mast) Weaver. Dan is once again reunited with his love, his wife of 60 years, Polly Mae (Bender) Weaver, who died November 20th, 2019.

Dan was a US Army Veteran Medic. He was employed for forty years at Flambeau Plastics in Middlefield, Ohio where he was a quality control plant inspector. He was given the nickname Mad Dog there, riding a motorcycle to work in all kinds of weather. He enjoyed people, he never met a stranger. He was a church member his entire life and enjoyed discussions of theology with family. He loved music, played the guitar and mandolin, and loved to sing. Even after Parkinson’s took his speech, he would occasionally croon to an old hymn or Johnny Cash song. In his youth he was a band member with the band “Andy Weaver and the Rhythm Riders.” His hobbies included farming, gardening, eating chocolate and reading about history and the Bible. He was an avid football fan, and also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Dan will be missed dearly by his friends and loving family: his children, Harry (Teressa) Weaver of Terrell, TX; Sherrill Weaver of Tucson, AZ; Jeff Weaver of Ft Worth, TX; Michele (Curtis) Mullett of Chesterland OH; grandchildren, Jonathon (Beth) Weaver, Mandy (Paul) McDermott, Josh Weaver, Eric Weaver, Rianna (Tyler) Perron, Destiny (Dr Jacob) Oliver, Amanda (Mike) Johnson, Emily (Alex) Ward, Ben (Hannah) Weaver, Cameron Mullett, Cassie (Nathan) Rice, Brandon Mullett, 11 great-grandchildren and one due in September, one brother Andy (Betty), and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Polly Mae; sons, Perry and Mark (Sherrill) Weaver; and granddaughter, Brianna Mullett; by his siblings; brothers Pete, John, Elwin, Joe, Elmer, Erwin and Mahlon and his sisters Emma, Martha and Elizabeth.
