Clara M. (Hostetler) Shetler

Clara M. Shetler (nee Hostetler), 91 years old, of Mesopotamia Twp, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, February 13th, 2025 at UH-Geauga Medical Center. She was born in Chardon, Ohio on December 17th, 1933 to the late Monroe and Sarah (Detweiler) Hostetler. Clara is once again reunited with her loving husband, John H. Shetler, who died June 23rd, 2013. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  

She will be missed by: her daughter, Sarah (Jerry) Miller; 8 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Clara is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, John; and son, Benjamin Shetler.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD AT 9:00 AM, SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH, 2025 AT 10085 N. GIRDLE RD., MESOPOTAMIA, OH with Bishop Andrew E. Byler officiating. Pallbearers were Joe Hostetler, Chris Burkholder, Ervin Wengerd, and Mose Wengerd. Clara’s final resting place will be in Wilcox Road Cemetery, Mesopotamia, Ohio.
