Candace J. Westenfelder

Candace J. Westenfelder, 45, of Newbury, OH, passed away Thursday evening, November 16th, 2023 at UH-Geauga Medical Center. She was born in Cleveland, OH on December 15th, 1977 to David and Billie (Price) Westenfelder.

Candace was a kind, caring, and free-spirited woman who was beautiful both inside and out. In her free time she was a talented artist, craft maker, cook, and helper of others. She cared deeply for the people she loved and had an infectious smile that could easily light up any room and any heart. Her sense of humor was unparalleled and undeniable, with no escape if she intended for you to laugh. As a child Candace was sensitive and genuine, gentle and warm, kind and quick to laugh. As an adult, these qualities became the foundation for the beautiful person she would become. Candace was always willing to give much more of herself than she ever expected to receive in return. She was a fragile soul, constantly searching for that inner peace which always seemed to be just out of reach. Until now.

Candace will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 7 years, Michael "Hoss" Saunders; parents, David (Linda) Westenfelder, and Billie Westenfelder; beloved daughter, Hannah Mann; grandchildren, Jace and Mia; siblings, Davey and Mindy Westenfelder; niece, Jenna (Dan) Pritt; extended family and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:30pm on December 18th, 2023 at Geauga Park District’s Claridon Woodlands, 11383 Claridon-Troy Rd, Chardon Ohio.
