Brigitte (Erlacher) Skalar

Brigitte Skalar(nee Erlacher), 85, of Leroy, OH, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of Tuesday April 21, 2026 at Geauga Assisted Living in Monteville, OH.  Born on September 25, 1940 in Austria, Brigitte was preceded in death by her parents Adolf and Maria(Nischelwizer) Erlacher, siblings, and loving husband John Skalar.

She was the owner/operator of a Convenient store and enjoyed working in the food industry most of her life. Brigitte retired from Giant Eagle after 13 years. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed puzzles, and loved traveling to casinos with her daughters.

Brigitte leaves behind to cherish her memory and continue her legacy: children Regina (Robert) Farmwald, John (Stacey) Skalar, Inge Skalar-Hanusosky; grandchildren Nathan, Krista, Adam, Jason, Julie, Timothy, Emy-Lynn, 8 great-grandchildren, cousins, and many friends...

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD AT 1PM, SATURDAY, APRIL 25TH, 2026 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Pastor Karen Cico officiating. Family and friends will be received from 11AM until the time of the service.
