Bonnie J. Scheele

Bonnie J. Scheele (Bon) 76, of Newbury, OH, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 18, 2023 at the Holly Hill Nursing Home with her sister Barb at her side.

She was born in Cleveland on September 7 1947 to the late Ralph L. and Betty J. (Staufer) Scheele. Bon is survived by her twin sister Barbara Scheele Bertleff, older sister Linda Horne of Norwalk, nieces Janice (Joe) Fisher of Norwalk Ohio and Jeanette (Chad) Axford of Perrysburg Ohio, 2 great nephews Jack (Alissa) Fisher & Brady Axford and 2 great nieces Makenna (Josh) Laser & Elisabeth Axford.

Extended family includes her first cousins William (deceased), John & Paul Scheele, cousins Harry & Suzie Scheele and August & Martha Scheele. Bill's wife Elisabeth and John's partner Wendy also got to know Bon, and she had many close friends from her time at Munson Elementary and Chardon High School, and recently at Holly Hill.

You can see the same expression of laughter and mischief in the photos above, taken 46 years apart. Bon was fun to be around, loved music and travel and especially her cat Pepper.

A Celebration of Life for Bon will be held at Holly Hill Nursing home on Thurs. Nov 9th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, in their Solarium Room. We welcome all family, friends and staff who loved Bon (see address below).

Please join family afterwards to say a prayer for Bon at the cemetery, which is close to Holly Hill. We will bring along any flowers from the memorial to the graveside service.
