Bernard G. Ruple

Bernard G. Ruple, 78, of Hiram Twp, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, March 7th, 2021 at his home. He was born in North Randall, OH on December 1st, 1942 to the late Oliver and Louise (Kuntz) Ruple. Bernard later married Carolyn Heath on June 14th, 1966.

Bernard was a kind, patient and simple man. He was often described as “having a heart of gold” and was happiest when helping others. He was an animal lover (especially dogs) and took care of many strays over the years. Bernard was hard working, and liked to stay busy. After retirement, you could usually find him outdoors or working in his garage.

He will be missed by: his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn; children, Randy (Penny) Ruple, Charles Ruple, Marvin (Sherry) Ruple, Bernard (Paula) Ruple Jr., Michele Ruple-Hall; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Freelan; and many friends.

Bernard is preceded in death by: his parents; grandson, Brett Alan Hall; son-in-law, Gregory Hall; brothers, Robert Ruple and David Ruple; and sister, Patricia Marcus.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 P.M., THURSDAY, MARCH 11TH, 2021 AT THE CHURCH AT TROY, 18712 MUMFORD RD., GARRETTSVILLE, OH with Pastor Stephen Beatty officiating. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
