Arlan L. Byrne Obituary

Arlan L. Byrne, 91, of Middlefield, OH, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, December 16th, 2021 at his home while surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Andover, OH on November 15th, 1930 to the late Ralph and Katherine (Crum) Byrne. Arlan is once again reunited with his loving wife, Patricia (Wilson) Byrne, who died in 2012, sister, Pat Brule, and son-in-law, Frank Currence.

Arlan majored in Music with a minor in history at the University of New Mexico, Kent State Univ., and Ohio Univ. He enjoyed being a band and music teacher in the Van Wert, Middlefield Cardinal, and Parma Holy Name school districts.

He also authored a local book called the “Journey’s Through History and Nature”.

Arlan was also a Civil War enthusiast as well as being an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved watching these games with his children.

He was always very supportive and proud of his children. Arlan was also loved the entire Huntsburg Community.

Arlan touched everyone he met through his pure heart, understanding, and knowledge.

He will be greatly missed by: his children, Diane Currence, Bridget Byrne, Alan (Brandy Williams) Byrne, Becky Byrne; grandchildren, Quinton (Kathryn) Byrne, Courtney (Steve) Swope, Stephanie Byrne, Jason Currence, Katherine Currence, Denise Currence; and many friends.

A CELEBRATION WILL BE HELD AT A LATER DATE.
