Allan W. Kolesar, 87, of Middlefield, OH, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, October 20th, 2024 at home while surrounded by his family. He was born in Cleveland, OH on July 19th, 1937 to Joseph and Margaret (Melocik) Kolesar. Allan is once again reunited with his wife, Katherine, who died December 16th, 2016.
Allan was a dedicated chess fan, model railroad enthusiast and a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Guardians. He also had a keen interest in Astronomy, physics, religion and what comes next.
Allan was a dedicated and loving father, grandfather, and friend to everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed by: his children, Cindy Kolesar, Ken (Donna) Kolesar, Kathy Chirozzi; grandchildren, Melissa (Bryan) Pineda, Kevin Chirozzi, Megan Kolesar, Nick Chirozzi; great-grandchildren, Mason Kolesar, Sophie Pineda, Eliza Kolezar; 1st wife and friend, Judith Kolesar; and many friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Katherine; son-in-law, Joe Chirozzi; grandson, Anthony Chirozzi; brother, Randy Kolesar; sister-in-law, Linda Kolesar; and canine companions, Oogie and Wilson.
A FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 12.30 P.M., SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26th, 2024 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Fr. Jay McPhillips officiating. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Allan’s final resting place will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio.
