William “Bill” O. Finzel, 58, of Burton, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes Sunday evening, August 4th, 2019. He was born in Sharon, PA on June 18th, 1961 to William E. and Sandra Lee (Snodgrass) Finzel. Bill later married Diann Peters in November 1995.
He worked as an IT Engineer and enjoyed being an active member of Freemasonry. Bill was currently serving as the Senior Warden of Village Lodge #274 F.&A.M. and the Royal Arch Captain of Willoughby Chapter #231 R.A.M. He was also a member of Painesville Council #104 R.S.M., a Knight of Eagle Commandery #29 Knights Templar of Ohio; and a member of the Valley of Cleveland, A.A.S.R. Bill also served in the Stephen Ministries at the Middlefield 1st United Methodist Church.
He was truly an amazing man who was everyone’s friend. Bill was also a devoted husband and loving father and will deeply missed by all.
He will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 24 years, Diann; children, Holly (Adam) Pender, Diego Peters, Winnie Peters; sister, Lynn (Bill) Nigro; nieces, Rebecca Peters, Laura (Shawn) Felix and their daughter Sadie; nephews, Tim Nigro, David Peters; and many friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents.
MASONIC AND MEMORIAL SERVICES WILL BE BEGIN AT 11:00 A.M., SATURDAY, AUGUST 10TH, 2019 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062.
