Richard “Dick” Charles Clinger, 75, of Huntsburg, OH passed away peacefully at Briar Hill Healthcare Residence in Middlefield early Saturday morning, August 18th, 2018. He was born in Lakewood, OH on October 13th, 1942 to the late James Joseph and Helen Kathryn (Pryor) Clinger. Dick is once again reunited with his loving wife of 39 years, Jocelyn “Jo” (MacPherson) Clinger, who died February 12th, 2007.
He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Dick graduated from Willoughby South High School Class of 1961 and attended Kent State University. Dick worked many years as a salesman at Middlefield Tire until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed reading, his dog Molly, traveling throughout the United States, his trips to Ireland and Alaska, riding his 4-wheeler around the neighborhood, German Chocolate cake, any opportunity to teach, his Irish heritage and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with his family, watching Jeopardy, and the coffee pot was always on.
He will be greatly missed by: sons, Jody (Nicole), Daniel (Gina), Andrew; grandchildren, Alexa, Chase, Sabrina, Emma, Liam; sister-in-laws, Eleanor, Joan, Jackie; and many friends.
Dick is preceded in death by: his parents; loving wife, Jo; brothers James, Robert, Thomas, Edward; and sister-n-law, Marian.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD FROM 2-5 P.M., SATURDAY AUGUST 25th at Best Funeral Home, 15809 MADISON RD., Middlefield Ohio 44062.
