Polly Mae Weaver (nee Bender) of Ft Worth, TX went to be with the Lord peacefully late Wednesday evening, November 20, 2019 after a battle with recurrent pancreatic cancer. Her first diagnosis of pancreatic cancer was in 2005. She was one of a very few 14 year survivors of the disease. She was born in Middlefield Ohio on July 6, 1940 to the late Alvin and Lydia (Schrock) Bender. Polly married Dan H Weaver on January 31, 1959.
She was an active member of Faith Evangelical Church, Garrettsville, helping in the nursery with the babies she loved, for many years. After becoming a Texas resident, she attended Northwood Church in Ft Worth, TX. She enjoyed houseplants, sewing, old hymns, playing games and attending Bible Study with dear friends from Ohio, and Texas. She loved spending time with family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Polly will be deeply missed by: her loving husband of 60 years, Dan Weaver, children, Harry (Teressa) Weaver of Terrell, TX; Sherrill Weaver of Tucson, AZ; Jeff Weaver of Ft Worth, TX; Michele (Curtis) Mullett of Chesterland OH; grandchildren, Jonathon Weaver, Mandy (Paul) McDermott, Josh (Rose) Weaver, Eric (Nelly) Weaver, Rianna (Tyler) Perron, Destiny (Shawn) Franklin, Amanda (Mike) Johnson, Emily (Alex) Ward, Ben Weaver, Cameron Mullett, Cassie (Nathan) Rice, Brandon Mullett, 5 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, sister in law’s and many nieces, nephews and friends, including Kathy Hughitt her special caregiver.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, her brother Clarence, her sons, Perry and Mark Weaver and granddaughter Brianna Mullett.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11 AM, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30TH, 2019 at BEST FUNERAL HOME 15809 MADISON RD, MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062 with Rev. Leroy Glover officiating. Family and friends will be received from 9 AM until the time of service on Saturday. Polly’s final resting place will be in Overlook Cemetery in Parkman Ohio. A luncheon for family and close friends will follow the burial.
