Phyllis C. (Fuller) Gatrell

Phyllis C. Gatrell (nee Fuller), 77, of Parkman Twp, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday evening, February 2nd, 2019. She was born in Cleveland, OH, on November 8th, 1941 to the late Robert and Marie (Obdrzalek) Fuller. Phyllis later married Donald D. Gatrell in Cleveland on October 28th, 1961.

Throughout her career, she worked in a variety of organizations which included Robinson Memorial Hospital, Johnson Rubber, Evans Middlefield Clinic, Burton Healthcare Center, and Cardinal Local Schools. After retirement, Phyllis enjoyed sewing and crafting, watching the wildlife around her home, and caring for her pets over the years. Despite her fondness for all these activities, nothing could compare to her true love, decorating for the Christmas holiday season and spending time with her family.

Phyllis will be greatly missed by: her loving husband of 57 years, Don; daughter, Patty (Leonard) Hall; son, Don R. (Nicole) Gatrell; grandchildren, Jeffery Hall, Jeremy Hall, Joshua (Stephanie) Hall; brother, Jack (Rose) Fuller; and many extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Frank, son Jerald M. Gatrell, and grandson, Alec D. Gatrell.

A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE HELD AT 10:30 AM., THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH, 2019 AT ST. EDWARD’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 16150 CENTER ST., PARKMAN, OH 44080. Family and friends will be received from 1-3 P.M. and 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 at Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Rd., Middlefield. Phyllis will be laid to rest in Overlook Cemetery at a later date.
