Patricia L. (Leuszler) Ray

Patricia L. Ray (nee Leuszler), 97, of Chardon, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family Thursday afternoon, December 27th, 2018. She was born October 7th, 1921 in Cleveland, OH to the late DeForest H. and Llda Mae (McVey) Leuszler. Patricia is now once again reunited with her loving husband, John P. Ray II, who died in July 2002. She was a resident of Geauga County since the early 1960s.

She was a retired Librarian after working over 40 years for the Geauga County Public Library. Patricia also spent a lot of time volunteering for the United State Eventing Association. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.

Patricia will be greatly missed by: children, John P. “Jack” Ray III of West Chester, OH, Patricia Ray of Cherry Valley, OH, Janet (Michael) Pengelly of Arizona, David (Jennifer) Ray of Kinsman, OH, Christine Kennedy of Rome, OH; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many friends. She is preceded in death by: her parents: husband, John; sister, Dolores Hosford; son-in-laws, Gary Furgerson, Terry Kennedy; and daughter-in-law, Janet Ray.

Per Patricia’s wishes, no services are to be held at this time. A private gathering will be held at a later date.
