Mildred "Millie" L. Owen-Weedon, 86, of Parkman, OH passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, OH Friday afternoon, November 29th, 2019. She was born in Cleveland, OH on July 4th, 1933 to the late Merle and Mildred (Scheer) Owen.
Millie was a businesswoman and a former teacher who loved working in her yard and on the family farm. She also enjoyed birdwatching, reading scripture from her Bible, and simply admiring the beauty of the Reservation Farm.
She thought “family” was everything and loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren..
Millie will be greatly missed by: her children, John S. (Virginia) Weedon, Carolyn J. Jorden, David Owen (Shelly) Weedon, Susan L. Sawyer; grandchildren; Suzanne (James) Levy, John B. Weedon, Joshua P. Weedon-Jorden, Maximilian Sawyer, Zephaniah Sawyer, Hawken Sawyer, Hannah Sawyer, Josiah Sawyer; and many friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, and brother, Merle Owen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Reservation Farm on Saturday, July 4th, 2020. In lieu of flowers or cards, donations in Millie’s memory are requested to be made to the Geauga County WomenSafe Inc, 12041 Ravenna Rd., Chardon, OH 44024, or online at www.womensafe.org.
