Mary Anne P. (Mirisch) Hummel

Mary Anne P. Hummel, 84, of Middlefield, entered eternal rest Friday evening, February 9th, 2018 at Briar Hill Health Care Residence in Middlefield. She was born in Cleveland, OH on February 10th, 1933 to the late Kurt G. and Margaret L. (Wiegel) Mirisch. Mary Anne is once again reunited with her loving husband, Joe G. Hummel Jr.

She served worked many years at the former Scott’s Bakery in Middlefield. Mary Anne was also a 51 year member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Stars. She was a member of the Clover Chapter in Burton and then Crescent Chapter in Garrettsville. Mary Anne enjoyed crocheting and working on a variety of craft projects. She also served many years as President of the Happy Wanderers German-American Band.

Mary Anne leaves behind to mourn her loss: her children, Marge (John) Pollari, Joe Hummel, Bill Hummel; grandchildren, Joe Hummel, Kristen Hummel, Nick Hummel, Josh Kosteinshek; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Kurt (Gertrude) Mirisch: and many friends. She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Joe Jr., and son, Tim Hummel.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 1 P.M., SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH, 2018 at LIGHTHOUSE UMC, 14780 MAYFIELD RD, EAST CLARIDON, OH 44033 with Pastor Karen Cico officiating.
