Kathleen W. (Wedding) Ponikvar

Kathleen W. Ponikvar (nee Wedding), 72, of Aurora, entered eternal rest Tuesday evening, June 12th, 2018 at Hillcrest Hospital. She was born on September 12th, 1945 to the late David and Pauline Wedding.

She will be missed by: son, John R. Ponikvar of VA; daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Backovsky of Eastlake; sister-in-law, Daniele "Donna" (nee Ponikvar) Blessing of Aurora; brother, Gregory (Lois) Wedding of Painesville; special daughter, Olga Messier of VA; grandchildren, Benjamin and Emily Backovsky, Joseph Ponikvar Jr., Anastasia Kudryavtseva; nieces, Kelly Ulrich and Michelle Chernikoff; and many friends. Kathleen is preceded in death by: her husband , Leon “Skip” J. Ponikvar, her parents, sons, James Lodge II, Joseph F. Ponikvar, and James D. Ponikvar; and brother-in-law, Charles Blessing.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 22nd, 2018 at All Souls Cemetery, 10366 Chardon Rd., Chardon, OH with Deacon Vince Belsitto officiating. All guests are asked to meet at the entrance.
