John Henry Yoder Obituary

John Henry Yoder, 79, of Middlefield Twp, passed away peacefully at home Friday afternoon, February 1st, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of Geauga County and was born April 20th, 1939 to the late Joe S. and Katie E. (Miller) Yoder. John Henry is now once again reunited with his loving wife, Katie J. (Miller) Yoder, who died in May 11th, 2012. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and the ordained Bishop of the Middlefield Northeast Church District. John Henry loved farming and spending time with his family.

He will be missed by: sons, Daniel (Maryann) Yoder, John Henry Jr. (Martha) Yoder, William (Edna) Yoder; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Yoder; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. John Henry is preceded in death by: his parents; loving wife, Katie; 2 sons, Norman Yoder and an infant son; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH, 2019 AT 14682 HAYES RD, MIDDLEFIELD, OH with Bishop Dan P. Hostetler officiating. John Henry’s final resting place will be in Nauvoo Road Cemetery in Middlefield Twp. Pallbearers will be Jonas Hershberger, Roy Mast, Lester J. Miller, and Bill J. Miller. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service.
