Gerald L. Straw

Gerald L. Straw, 63, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, July 13th, 2019 at Briar Hill Healthcare Residence. He was born in Cleveland, OH on November 21st, 1955 to the late Howard and Shirley (Springer) Straw. He later married Donna Addleman on November 23rd, 1974.

He was a Supervisor at Speed Selector in Chagrin Falls for over 45 years. Gerald enjoyed showing off his ’86 mustang at car shows. He also loved spending time with his family, especially going dancing with Donna at Jewels Dance Hall in Austinburg.

Gerald will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 44 years, Donna; sons, Gerald “Jay” Straw Jr., David (Kimi) Straw; grandson, Blake Straw; brother, Richard Straw; sister, Janet Speelman; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Terry Speelman Sr.
