Gerald L. Rouge, 87, of Burton, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, March 17th, 2019 at Burton Health Care. He was born in Cleveland, OH on July 23rd, 1931 to the late Carl and Lillian (Primosh) Rouge. Gerald is once again reunited with his loving wife, Marilyn (Cook) Rouge, who died September 29th, 1998.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. Upon his return, Gerald earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art. He worked independently as an artist creating many oil landscapes on canvas. Gerald enjoyed showing his work at art exhibits and at his studio, Goodwin Avenue Gallery, in Burton.
Gerald will be greatly missed by: daughters, Susan Halko, Karen (Jim) Clarke, Linda George; 4 grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl; sister, Linda; and many friends.
He is preceded in death by: his loving wife, Marilyn; parents; and brother, Tommy.
Per Gerald’s wishes, a private gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.
